As a child, Michelle wanted to be the first
female heavyweight champion of the world. Her childhood goal foreshadowed her rise to fame.
When Michelle was in her pre-teen years, she participated in local theater productions until she
was ready to pursue Los Angeles--which opened doors to more prominent roles. Williams’s brave
and confident fighting style won her titles in Lassie, A Thousand Acres and Species. Michelle has
also made television guest appearances in ABC’s Step-By-Step and Home Improvement.
Her current project is the hit television series, Dawson's Creek, which airs right after Buffy,
The Vampire Slayer on WB--the ultimate TV teen timeslot. Michelle plays Jennifer Lindley, a city girl who is
in the process of adjusting to the tranquil lifestyle of the small town, Capeside. Unlike
Jennifer’s love interest, Dawson (James Van Der Beek), this blonde chick is not squeaky clean.
Michelle’s character has a past--involving endless boyfriends, casual sex, lost innocence, and
fast-paced adventures in New York City.
Although Michelle is portrayed as sophisticated and
desirable on Dawson’s Creek, don’t think for a minute that this brown-eyed beauty is a prom
queen in real life. In high school, Michelle would hide in bathroom stalls during her lunch
period because she had no friends to hang out with. "I just hated the people, the atmosphere
and the catty fights between the girls. The girls just didn’t understand that there was life
past clothes, makeup and boys," Williams states. Michelle ended up leaving high school after
her hellish year as a freshman, and homeschooled for a year until she graduated early. Well,
you go girl!
Besides admitting that she wasn’t the most popular girl in high school, Michelle has
also expressed strong opinions about her knock-out showbiz persona, "It’s so unreal. When I look
in the mirror after they’ve done my hair and makeup, it doesn’t look like the person I know." It’s
refreshing to know that Michelle is so down-to-earth, that she doesn’t realize how easily she can
snag a companion on her dateless Friday nights. She’s just been working too hard to notice. "I
barely have enough time to sleep. It’s been so crazy." Inevitably, Michelle’s dedication to acting
will cast future roles her way. I’m sure she has an eager audience full of Dawson’s Creek fans
to cheer her on.
