Besides having sparkly blue eyes and
silky golden locks of hair, Anna Chlumsky's charm is not the only benefactor that puts her
ahead of the youth showbiz industry. She is one of the few young actresses who puts education
before acting. Anna values education highly and has saved her earnings from modeling and acting
to contribute towards her college education. She says, "...school is the most important thing
to me right now...I worry mostly about school and whether I am doing well." She would like to
someday become a paleontologist. Anna gets the majority of her support from her mother, Nancy
Chlumsky, who regularly puts her stage acting aside in order to provide guidance for her
daughter.
Anna has been in the entertainment industry ever since the young age of 10 months, where she
started as a photographic model. Since then, she has been casted in several films, including
her signature roles in My Girl and My Girl 2. The hype of show business has not changed Anna's
lifestyle at all; she does not care for extravagant clothing or makeup and would often look at
prices before ordering anything from a menu. Anna represents the perfect role model for other
young talents to follow, since she is both successful in school and her acting career.
